            Sydney Daniel is from Alpharetta, Georgia and is currently living and working in Roswell, Georgia. She received her BFA from Georgia State University in 2013 and her MFA from the University of Georgia in 2019. Sydney has also worked extensively in event management and curatorial projects.

             Her studio practice is a celebration of non-representational painting on a consciously large scale with a deeply process based approach. Her paintings contain a desire for beauty, a desire for the unknown and the desire for sumptuousness. Her practice employs a variety of applications of fluid materials that involve staining, spreading and overlapping forms. Her interests center around a documentation of time and articulating the non verbal experiences of her audience to induce sensations of nostalgia and awareness of the body.
